Delta Pe Obraz (Chișinău) la Republic Hub
Delta Pe Obraz was born in 2016, in Chisinau, when Gheorghe Gușan and Cristian Chirila, colleagues in acting, start playing with poems on guitar chords, oscillating sonorously between poetry rock and folk. POT Music, the competition for young talents in the Republic of Moldova, brings two more characters from the indie-rock scene into the picture and soon Delta Pe Obraz becomes a band that starts to make a name for itself.
The new formula brings us MOARTE in March 2020, launched with a “distortion, bass and live drums” concert, the sound sliding more and more towards alternative rock.
With the outbreak of war in Ukraine, Delta is quick to express its solidarity by releasing the song AFTER THE WAR. The second concert brings us AMANTA in 2022.
The year 2024 came with their first material: RITM COLOR. For DELTA PE OBRAZ the album is a study of their own identity. RITM COLOR contains both elements from the band’s childhood, with motifs of classic alternative rock, and elements that lay the foundation for a transition into the world of electronic sounds. As the band’s first material, the focus was on quality rather than quantity. The album has a well-constructed dramaturgy, so that each track becomes a continuation of the previous one. It’s also a tidy 43 minutes of chaos.
